ETH Zurich IIS PhD dissertation template for Typst.

This template follows the ETH Zurich doctoral regulations and the house style of the Integrated Systems Laboratory (IIS).

Usage

Initialize a new dissertation project with:

typst init @preview/ethz-iis-dissertation

Or add it to an existing project:

Render modes

  • mode: "digital" (default) — single-stream PDF for the research collection: symmetric margins, no blank filler pages, clickable blue links, and a fixed running header.
  • mode: "booklet" — print-ready copy: mirrored binding margins, chapters and front-matter sections opening on recto (odd) pages with blank versos where needed, black links, and an alternating recto/verso header.

Both modes keep the same 108 mm content width, so line breaking is identical.
